The SlotServer ControlLogix/BACnet IP interface module from FieldServer Technologies, Milpitas, CA, interfaces third-party devices using BACnet IP to the ControlLogix 1756 Allen Bradley PLC. BACnet IP is a TCP/IP protocol developed by ASHRAE and used in building automation and process control industries. The SlotServer features a standard 1756 format that plugs into the Allen Bradley ControlLogix rack, BBMD-supported 10Base-T IP connection, a trade port for advanced troubleshooting, and BACnet PIC statement availability. SlotServer also lets you control communications in ControlLogix software using standard generic message blocks.
